I am jealous of other artists. Perhaps a little to jealous... I am jealous that they can start a drawing and stick to it all the way until the end! *sigh* I know me not completing my drawings is my own damn fault but it's so hard to complete my drawings when I get another inspiration. Sometimes I feel my imagination is a blessing other times a curse. I have a tendency to start something and when I get a new idea I rush to the next idea before I forget my idea and so on. It's horrible! Something I am trying to change but having difficulty changing.

ha! yeah, i used to NEVER finish drawings. I had so many sketchbooks of people without arms or legs and i Never did background stuff. My bro-in-law used to finish my drawings for me, just for fun, which i liked... it was like being a mangaka(before i even knew what that was) and having an assistant. maybe you just need to find someone to work with, to collaborate with? If i'm not really feeling something, i won't finish it. It has to be right. All the unfinished stuff is just practice anyway. You are learning your style and your way. It's nothing to stress about. When doing illustrations you don't really have to finish... who gets to say what "finished" is anyway. Some people never finish, even after the drawing is done, they go back and rework, and redraw, and paint over, because it's not quite right. My art teacher used to try to get me to finish stuff all the time... add more... shade... crosshatch... color... put something on every inch of the page. which was good practice... don't get me wrong... i'm so thankful that she pushed me. Illustrations need to be "finished" if it's for a contest, or a portfolio, or for a deadline, or a commission, or if they are being published... but if it's just your stuff finish the ones you think are the coolest, leave some time for other stuff. or leave them undone all together, and then go back a few months later with fresh eyes, and see what happens when you work on them again. and then, later on, all those little illustrations, and postures, and ideas will be fuel for your pages and panels when you make a manga!! :D Anyway, sorry for all the rambling. I got excited. hehe
